In sugar factories, plate heat exchangers are generally used to heat clear juice, dilute juice that seeps out, sugar molasses before entering the tank, and finally, molasses for cooling. The use of plate heat exchangers in these processes has a good effect.
1、 Used for heating clear juice
The heat transfer performance of using a plate heat exchanger to heat clear juice is more than twice that of a tube type, so the heat transfer area used can be reduced by half or more. It is better to use first effect juice steam here, which has a certain energy-saving effect (compared to using waste steam for heating). When the heat exchanger has good performance and is close to the evaporation tank, heating with juice vapor can make the clear juice temperature close to the juice vapor temperature, only 3-5 ℃ lower, which can basically meet the needs of evaporation. Heating with juice steam can also prevent sugar juice from coking due to high steam temperature. Some sugar factories in China use waste steam, and some factories have experienced severe coking due to careless operation, making it difficult to remove the coking substances.
2、 Used for heating mixed juice
The sugar factory uses a plate heat exchanger to heat the mixed juice, with 50 plates. It is used for two months and washed once a week. The flow of sugarcane juice is 103 ~ 130t/h, heated from 72 ~ 76 ℃ to 94 ~ 97 ℃, the saturation temperature of waste steam used is 109 ~ 111 ℃, the heat transfer coefficient is 2900 ~ 3380W/m2. K, and the pressure of sugarcane juice drops to 0.05 ~ 0.1MPa. When the machine is shut down and turned on, there is sediment and sugarcane bran inside, and there is a thin layer of scale on the board surface, but it is less than that of the tubular heater. It can be washed with water and brushed away. Each work shift conducts a "backwash" to wash away some sediment. But it's best to first remove the fiber debris from the sugarcane juice through a sieve.
For materials such as mixed juice that contain a large amount of suspended solids, the use of a wide channel plate heat exchanger has a better effect. A sulfite method sugar factory in a foreign country can operate continuously for 30 days using this heat exchanger and heating mixed juice and sulfur smoked juice with a third effect evaporation steam. The steam pressure used is very low, only 40kPa absolute pressure, and the steam temperature is 75 ℃. The heat transfer coefficient reaches 2090~2440W/m2. K, and its heating area is more than half of that of the tubular type. The wide channel plate heat exchanger can use vacuum low-temperature juice vapor as a heat source to heat low-temperature sugarcane juice, which has great energy-saving value.
3、 For cooling molasses
Cooling and cooling molasses before entering the storage tank is a key measure to prevent their deterioration during storage. However, molasses have high viscosity, difficult heat transfer, and limited effectiveness in use.
To meet the global increase in demand for sugar of the same quality and without causing production costs to skyrocket, the Kangjinghui plate heat exchanger system has carefully designed engineering solutions for the processing of sugar beets and sugarcane. Energy is fully utilized by plate heat exchangers through evaporation, condensation, cooling, and heating. For example, the repeated use of excess exhaust gas and condensed products occurs at the lowest temperature difference, allowing for the precise treatment of sensitive sugar solutions throughout the entire process.
Different syrup flow rates require continuous heat transfer from the initial juice to the final syrup. Our heat exchanger products can help you recover more heat from the processing process, helping you achieve energy savings and production costs.
