Plate evaporator is a semi welded heat exchanger, which consists of two plates welded together. When the steam passes through the welding channel, the fluid concentrates in the sealing channel. When the temperature difference between the two media is very small, these devices are ideal because they allow the use of lower grade steam. In most cases, this means cutting energy costs.
The plate type evaporator is specially designed to generate high turbulence on the whole plate to optimize evaporation. This maximizes heat transfer efficiency while minimizing fouling and scale.
By removing the fastening bolts and the fixed pressure plate, the plate evaporative heat exchanger can be easily overhauled for inspection and mechanical cleaning. For CL in place cleaning (CIP), only a small amount of cleaning chemicals are required because of its small size.
Plate evaporator heat exchanger has strong functionality, easy maintenance and long service life. They are equipped with clip on gaskets without glue to ensure perfect sealing and trouble free maintenance. In addition, the pressure plate rollers, the bearing housing on the fastening bolts and the 5-point calibration system with reinforced hangers make it fast and convenient to open and close the heat exchanger without the risk of heavy tools or plate damage.
